The Higher Education Students’ Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) engaged Ctech Systems Ltd to upgrade and modernize the existing Student Financing Management Information System (SFMIS). The goal was to improve efficiency, scalability, security, and user experience for both applicants and administrators, while aligning the system with current digital standards. The enhanced system now serves as a one-stop online portal for loan and grant application, eligibility verification, fund disbursement tracking, repayment management, and secure online payments.

The Higher Education Students’ Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) faced growing challenges in managing the increasing volume of student loan and grant applications through its legacy Student Financing Management Information System (SFMIS). The existing system was characterized by limited scalability, outdated user interfaces, manual processing steps, and lack of integration with digital payment platforms.
